Day 1 :    Arrival in Colombo
Upon arriving at the Colombo Airport, after clearing immigration, you will be met by our Joy Travels representative who will have you transferred to a hotel. You will have the rest of the day to yourself to relax, go sightseeing or shopping (on your own). Colombo is full of pretty sights, such as: Mount Lavinia beach; Viharamahadevi Park; the highly popular Jami-Ul Alfar mosque; and, the Independence Square in Cinnamon Gardens. There are several places to shop in Colombo – malls, speciality stores, and street markets. There’s variety in cuisine from fine dining to fast food to international food in restaurants and clubs. Day 2 :    Colombo-Bentota
Following breakfast, you will be leaving Colombo for Bentota, about a 62-Km drive away. It is based in Sri Lanka’s southern coast at the confluence of the sea and the estuary of the Bentota River. Bentota’s powdered, palm-fringed beaches and pristine warm waters of the Indian Ocean have made it a favoured tourist destination. This tourist resort is equipped with hotels to suit each purse and taste, with many tourist facilities for the overseas visitors, and popular water sports centres for wind-surfing and water-skiing. You will have this day entirely to yourself to do what you wish. Overnight at hotel in Bentota.

Day 3 :    Bentota
After breakfast, you will be taken for a half-day sightseeing tour of Bentota. You will be going to see turtle hatcheries at Indurawa Beach, where the eggs and baby turtles are protected; visit a toddy brewery; make an excursion along the river to see the tropical flora and fauna, temples and scenic rural villages; and, a nearby wildlife sanctuary. If you wish, you can, on your own, go for a long river cruise on a boat safari that will take you past mangrove clusters and islets, besides taking you to a coconut factory and boutiques selling handicrafts. Bentota has local shops and supermarkets, as well as shops with exclusive souvenirs, and there are restaurants serving international cuisine. Overnight at hotel in Bentota.

Day 4 :    Bentota-Colombo
Post-breakfast, you will be checking-out of Bentota and return to Colombo. Soon after checking into a hotel in Colombo, you will be escorted for a full-day city tour of Colombo. You will be visiting monuments and areas of interest, such as the Fort and Pettah areas (with very popular street markets), drive past an ancient Clock Tower, a Buddhist temple, and pass by several colonial buildings made by the British. You will also be visiting a popular Hindu temple, drive along affluent neighbourhoods, the Colombo National Museum, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, before you visit a ceramic corporation showroom, Odel – an upbeat departmental store, and the Majestic City mall.  Overnight at hotel in Colombo.

Day 5 :    Departure from Colombo
Following breakfast, you will have to check-out of your hotel, but may have time to do some last-minute shopping, before your scheduled departure to the airport to catch the flight for your onward destination.
