Day 1 :    Delhi-Maldives
Upon arriving at the Maldives Airport, after clearing immigration, you will be met by our Joy Travels representative who will have you transferred to your hotel by a fast boat. You will have the first day of your Maldives-Colombo package free to relax or, indulge in shopping or sightseeing (at your own cost). All meals at your hotel. Overnight at Embadu resort in Maldives.

Day 2 :    Maldives
After breakfast, you will have the whole day for your leisure activities. An archipelago of 1,190 islands, Maldives is sought after for its world-class beaches, crystalline warm waters, and coral reefs. You can indulge in water sports to your heart’s content – diving, snorkelling, surfing, kayaking, parasailing, water-skiing, kite-surfing, or jet-skiing. If you wish, you can also take an optional tour to the Male island. North and South Male have the best surfing sites. Lunch and dinner will also be served at your hotel. Overnight at Embadu resort in Maldives.

Day 3 :    Maldives
Following breakfast, you will have another day to yourself. There’s a submarine cruise which you may like to avail of (optional) to see underwater marine life, or you can suntan yourself at the beach. If you wish to go sightseeing, you can head to the island’s Old Friday Mosque of 1656 – Hukuru Miskiiy, with coral stone walls intricately carved. The National Museum surrounded by the pretty Sultan’s Park, the wreck of a cargo ship called the ‘Maldives Victory’, Alimatha Island, HP Reef, the quiet Hulhumale island in Kaafu Atoll, and the exotic Biyadhoo Island in the South Ari Atoll, are other sites worth visiting. Maldives will surprise you with the choice in cuisine in its’ restaurants and cafes; besides its’ numerous shops selling a diverse range of products including clothing, perfumes, jewellery, home-made pickle, canned tuna fish, the typical Maldivian mat, and other handicrafts. Lunch and dinner will be served at your hotel. Overnight at Embadu resort in Maldives.

Day 4 :    Maldives-Colombo
Post-breakfast, you will be checking-out of Maldives to board your flight to Colombo, which lies along the Kelani river that is bordered by leafy mango trees. You will be met in Colombo by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be for your leisure. Overnight at hotel Holiday Inn in Colombo.

Day 5 :    Colombo
Following breakfast, you will be taken for a half-day tour of Colombo, the largest city of Sri Lanka. You will be driving past the Old Parliament; popular pavement markets of Pettah and near the Fort railway station; ancient Clock Tower; the sophisticated promenade of Galle Face Green, fringed by palm trees; visit a Buddhist temple; a Hindu temple; and the grand Colombo National Museum. After the tour is over, you may continue with sightseeing or shopping (on your own). Colombo is full of pretty sights, such as: Mount Lavinia beach; Viharamahadevi Park; the highly popular Jami-Ul Alfar mosque; and, the Independence Square in Cinnamon Gardens. There are several places to shop in Colombo – malls, speciality stores, besides the street markets. There’s variety in cuisine from fine dining to fast food to international food in restaurants and clubs. Overnight at hotel Holiday Inn in Colombo.

Day 6 :    Colombo-Delhi
After breakfast, you will be checking-out of your hotel, but may have some time to do last-minute shopping or sightseeing, before you are transferred to the airport to catch your scheduled flight back to Delhi.
