Day 1 ON ARRIVAL BANGALORE
After checking into the hotel, the journey starts with a trip towards some historical buildings in Bengaluru,such as the City Railway Station and the Kempegowda Bus Stand enclosing the `heart of the town’ as closeby is the Cubbon Park with a profusion of hotels, shops, eateries and bars that make up Brigade Road, Church Street and Commercial Street. To the north are the Sankey Tank, the Golf Course, Palace Grounds which contains the Tipu Palace. The Vidhan Soudha epitomizes the charm of the city. The Legislative House of the State is an impressive granite building and the golden Ashoka Pillar on top of the dome glints in the sun as people scurry up and down its majestic flight of stairs.  Entrance to Cubbon Park starts from here, and the oaks, cassias, gulmohars stand over grassy patches and walkways.  There are secluded nooks, bamboo grooves and a lotus pond, and this area also consists public buildings such as the Press Club, the State Archaeological Museum and the Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall which hosts the State Public Library.  Enchanted with a visit to these significant arenas, return back to the hotel to sleep for the night!

Day 2 BANGALORE LOCAL SIGTSEEING
After a satisfying breakfast, start the day with the city’s other major lung which is a horticultural delight called Lal Bagh known for its flora, as its ancient stone formation dates back to centuries, but is recognized for hosting bi-annual flower shows.  It has a pristine air as it only allows pedestrians and is encompassed with fountains, nurseries, lotus ponds glistening at noon and dusk, birds and chipmunks thriving all around. Spend the day strolling around the area in nature’s lap and come back for an overnight stay at the hotel!

Day 3 BANGALORE - MYSORE
Start after breakfast to treat yourselves to Dravidian architecture and discover the history of cultural festivals which make the temples of these city iconic sites, rich and colourful. The Bull Temple in Basavagudi inspires awe with its monolithic bull hulking, and nearby stands the Dodda Ganesha Temple with its enormous Ganesh idol. The Iskcon Hare Krishna Temple is emblematic of the city with a merger of technology and tradition, as with a combination of glass and gopurams , it glitters atop a hillock. Ornate arches and pillars, soothing fountains and Rajagopuram make this a peaceful place. Mesmerised by this legacy, as the honeymooners walk hand-in-hand through a romantic maze, return back to the hotel and put you to sleep!

Day 4 MYSORE
After breakfast move towards Ranga Shankara in south Bengaluru, the city’s well-loved theatre auditorium which hosts plays. The National Gallery of Modern Art is a handsome old house called Manikyavelu Mansion and is a buzzing venue for film festivals and seminars.  The art school called Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath has its own galleries and grounds which feature Indian and International contemporary art, Mysore-style paintings and folk art. The Visvesvaraya Museum is scientifically informative and whimsical; featuring turbines, aircrafts, a steam locomotive, a mechanical calculator and other artefacts that throw crowds into another realm! The Wonder La Amusement Park is touted as India’s biggest water park, and the highway has on-ground rides, water slides, wave pools, restaurants and laser show and fireworks every evening.  Overnight stay at the hotel!

Day 5 MYSORE-OOTY
Roll the day after an early breakfast! The Banerghatta Biological Park is where the rehabilitated lions and tigers are settled in semi-wild environs, as there is a zoo, a herbivore enclosure with blackbuck, bison, cheetal, sambar , a butterfly garden, a bear enclosure,  and for this pleasure a Grand Safari may be arranged to cover all enclosures, or alternatively an elephant joy ride or a short or  longer trek! Try to take out some time to visit the Soukya or Ayurvedagram, any of these holistic wellness destinations to find out about their therapeutic treatment of holistic medical treatment,de-stress and rejuvenation programmes, for the future, even if it happens to be a short visit this time! Overnight stay at the hotel!

Day 6 OOTY
Afer an early breakfast, drive towards a popular getaway for a very convenient day trip to Nandi Hills, where the beautiful statue of Nandi standing guard outside the Yoganandeeshwara Temple, atop the hills, fascinates  the couples flowing along with nature’s lap on their romantic sojourn. At the base of the Nandi hill is the Boganandeeshwara Temple. These hills are a craggy range squatting obstinately on the flat surrounding plains and are not gently rollers-by but a giant granite monolith with a magical effect!  Stroll around the entire green area and return to Bangalore in the evening for an overnight stay at the hotel!

Day 7 OOTY-KODIAKANAL
Another day trip starts early morning and a drive may be taken towards Mysore, the city with an inspired mosaic of ornate palaces, gardens, boulevards and markets, a legacy left behind by the Wodeyar kings, resplendent with the rustle of Mysore silk,the fragrance of sandalwood incense and jasmine, the flavour of masala dosa and ghee-soaked Mysore Pauk, rich Mysore coffee and masterpieces sunsets! A visit to the Mysore Palace,Mysore Dasara, Chamundi Hill,St. Philomena’s Cathedral  would be splendid, and if possible, also accommodate the Sri Jayachamarajendra Zoo, returning back to the hotel in Bangalore for the night!  

Day 8 KODAIKANAL- DROP AT COIMBATORE AIRPORT 
Start a wandering spree in the morning towards the sprawling Bangalore Palace Grounds, which are a hive of activity throughout the year with festivals, exhibitions, concerts and handicraft fairs,after which take some time out for yourself for some leisure and pleasure on your own, before boarding the flight back to your place of residence!

For shopping, Brigade Road is said to be the High street of the city with a row of shops selling clothes, shoes, electronics and fast food. The Tibet Plaza stocks reasonable stuff. The Cauvery Emporium at MG Road is the place for souvenirs, handicrafts, shawls, silk, fabrics, linen and the nearby UB City, a towering complex, is the swish set shop, with all elite International brands lined up and encloses a piazza-style food court for a relaxing afternoon or evening. Commercial Street is again the city’s main shopping area with big brands, fabric, silver jewellery and slippers, also having a treasure trove in the bylane shops.

For food, there is a stream of restaurants serving Greek, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Mediterranean, North and South Indian and Bengali cuisine.  There are some places famous for the hot idli sambar, vada sambar, dosas, mutton rolls, biryanis, prawn curry, burgers, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, pastries, cakes, croissants and also the streets which are gastronomically abuzz with a delectable stomach-filling spread!

Lo! the couples may return back with the beatific enthusiasm of spending some best moments of their life in that bustling hub of software-with-saris, bookshops-with-bars and tradition-with-modernity, expressing gratitude and thanksgiving to the Almighty for being blessed!
